Abstract

The number of workforce in February 2019 reached 737,207 people, down by 19,733 compared to the number of workforce in February 2018, which amounted to 756,940 people. When compared to the August 2018 period, there were 9,289 people.

The number of people working in February 2019 fell compared to February 2018, which was 17,363 people. In February 2019 there were 712,230 people working, while in February 2018 there were 729,593 people.

The Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) in February 2019 was 3.39 percent, down 0.22 percent compared to the TPT in February 2018. And fell by 0.26 percent compared to the August 2018 condition, which was 3.65 percent.

The Labor Force Participation Rate (TPAK) in February 2019 was 67.89 percent, down by 3.45 percent compared to TPAK in February 2018 of 71.34 percent.

In February 2019, the Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) was highest in the Diploma / University education group which amounted to 7.21 percent. While the unemployment rate at the high school / vocational level is 3.60 percent and junior high school is lower by 2.58 percent.
