August 2019, the Open Unemployment Rate is 3.62%, up 0.23 point compared to February 2019 Conditions

Abstract

The number of the workforce in August 2019 reached 742,798 people, an increase of 14,880 people compared to the number of the workforce in August 2018, which amounted to 727,918 people. When compared with the February 2019 period it rose by 5,591 people.
The number of people working in August 2019 increased compared to August 2018, which was 14,561 people. In August 2019 there were 715,927 people employed while in August 2018 there were 701,366 people.
The Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) in August 2019 was 3.62 percent, down 0.03 percentage points compared to TPT in August 2018. And it rose by 0.23 percentage points compared to the condition in February 2019, which was 3.39 percent.
The Labor Force Participation Rate (TPAK) in August 2019 was 67.70 percent, down by 0.09 percentage points compared to the TPAK in August 2018 which was 67.79 percent.
In August 2019, the highest Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) in the high school / vocational education group was 6.21 percent. While the unemployment rate at the Diploma / University level is 2.65 percent and junior high schools and below 2.49 percent.
