Kepulauan Bangka Belitung Province Economy in 2022 to Grow 4.40 Percent

Abstract

The economy of the Kepulauan Bangka Belitung Province in 2022 as measured by the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current prices (ADHB) reached Rp95.29 trillion and GRDP at constant prices (ADHK) 2010 reached Rp57.80 trillion. Meanwhile, the GRDP per capita of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in 2022 reached Rp63.75 million.
The economy of the Kepulauan Bangka Belitung Province in 2022 grew by 4.40 per cent, slowing down compared to 2021 which grew by 5.05 per cent. In terms of production, the largest source of growth came from the Wholesale and Retail Trade business field; Car and Motorcycle Repair. Meanwhile, from the expenditure side, the largest source of growth came from the Household Consumption Expenditure component.
The economy of Kepulauan Bangka Belitung Province in the fourth quarter of 2022 when compared to the fourth quarter of 2021 (y-on-y) grew by 4.44 per cent. In terms of production, the highest growth was achieved by the Corporate Services business field which grew by 14.71 per cent. Meanwhile, from the expenditure side, the highest growth was achieved by the Government Consumption Expenditure component which grew by 8.64 per cent.
The economy of Kepulauan Bangka Belitung Province in the fourth quarter of 2022 when compared to the previous quarter (q-to-q) grew by 2.64 per cent. In terms of production, the highest growth was achieved by the Other Services business field which grew by 18.38 per cent. In terms of expenditure, the highest growth was achieved by the Government Consumption Expenditure component which grew by 19.09 per cent.
The economy of Sumatra Island in 2022 grew by 4.69 per cent, an increase compared to the achievement in 2021 which grew by 3.18 per cent. The total ADHB GRDP of Sumatra Island in 2022 reached IDR 4,220.20 trillion or around 22.04 per cent of the total GRDP of 34 provinces in Indonesia. Meanwhile, the total ADHK GRDP of Sumatra Island in 2022 reached Rp2,487.26 trillion. The GRDP of Bangka Belitung Islands Province in 2022 only contributed 2.26 per cent to the GRDP of Sumatra Island and 0.50 per cent to the total GRDP of 34 provinces in Indonesia.
