Abstract

In February 2024, year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in Kepulauan Bangka Belitung Province was 1.86 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 104.00. The highest y-on-y inflation in Kepulauan Bangka Belitung Province occurred in Tanjung Pandan by 3.14 percent with a CPI of 105.57 while the lowest y-on-y inflation occurred in Belitung Timur Regency by 0.25 percent with a CPI of 103.48.

Y-on-y inflation occurred due to price increases indicated by the increase in the index of expenditure groups, namely: food, beverage and tobacco group by 3.61 percent; clothing and footwear group by 1.58 percent; health group by 4.15 percent; transportation group by 1.79 percent; recreation, sports and culture group by 0.62 percent; education group by 1.76 percent; food and beverage / restaurant supply group by 1.92 percent; and personal care and other services group by 0.30 percent. Meanwhile, expenditure groups that experienced a decrease in the index or experienced deflation, namely: housing, water, electricity and household fuel groups by 0.62 percent; household equipment, equipment and routine maintenance groups by 0.16 percent; and information, communication and financial services groups by 0.12 percent.

Kepulauan Bangka Belitung Province experienced month to month (m-to-m) inflation of 0.39 percent and year to date (y-to-d) inflation of 0.51 percent.
