Abstract

January 2024 Year on Year (y-on-y) inflation for the Kepulauan Bangka Belitung Province is 1.21 percent. The highest inflation occurred in Tanjung Pandan at 1.90 percent
In January 2024, year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in the Kepulauan Bangka Belitung Province will be 1.21 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 103.60. The highest y-on-y inflation occurred in Tanjung Pandan at 1.90 percent with a CPI of 104.97 and the deepest y-on-y deflation occurred in Belitung Timur Regency at 0.41 percent with a CPI of 103.29.
Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the expenditure group index, namely: food, beverage and tobacco groups by
1.75 percent; clothing and footwear group by 1.36 percent; health group at 4.27 percent; transportation group by 1.78 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 0.70 percent; education group at 1.74 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 2.08 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 0.56 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure groups that experienced a decline in the index or experienced deflation were: the housing, water, electricity and household fuel groups at 0.61 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 0.12 percent; and the information, communication and financial services group at 0.05 percent.
The Kepulauan Bangka Belitung Province experienced deflation month to month (m-to-m) and year to date (y-to-d) of 0.13 percent each.
