Abstract

In June 2023, the Combined 2 Cities in Bangka Belitung experienced year on year (y-on-y) inflation of 2.81 percent with a CPI of 116.43. The monthly inflation rate or month to month (m-to-m) is 0.24 percent and the calendar year inflation rate or year to date (y-to-d) is 1.84 percent.
Y-on-y inflation in Pangkalpinang City was 2.57 percent and m-to-m inflation was 0.40 percent, with a CPI of 114.62. Y-on-y inflation in Tanjungpandan City was 3.23 percent and m-to-m deflation was 0.03 percent, with a CPI of 119.72.
Inflation y-on-y Combined 2 Cities in Bangka Belitung this month occurred due to an increase in index in almost all expenditure groups, namely; the food, beverage and tobacco group by 2.06 percent; the clothing and footwear group by 1.36 percent; the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 1.79 percent; equipment, equipment and household routine maintenance group by 0.99 percent; the health group by 1.36 percent; transportation group by 10.13 percent; recreation, sport and culture group by 0.63 percent; the education group by 1.06 percent; the group providing food and drink/restaurants by 1.79 percent; as well as the personal care and other services group of 2.82 percent. Meanwhile, the group that experienced a decline in index was only the information, communication and financial services group by 0.66 percent.
The share of inflation y-on-y of the Combined 2 Cities in Bangka Belitung was mainly contributed by the commodities of gasoline, rice and filter clove cigarettes. Meanwhile, the share of m-to-m inflation was mainly due to the commodities of purebred chicken meat, kerisi fish, and filter clove cigarettes.
