Abstract

  • In December 2023, year-on-year (y-on-y) and calendar year (y-to-d) inflation takes into account changes in the CPI in the same period so that the figures will also show the same value. The combined 2 cities in Bangka Belitung experienced y-on-y and y-to-d inflation of 2.65 percent with a CPI of 117.36. Meanwhile, on a monthly basis or month to month (m-to-m) deflation was observed at 0.04 percent.
  • Y-on-y and y-to-d inflation in Pangkalpinang City was 2.01 percent and m-to-m inflation was 0.26 percent with a CPI of 115.94. Y-on-y and y-to-d inflation in Tanjungpandan City was 3.80 percent and m-to-m deflation was 0.57 percent with a CPI of 119.93.
  • Y-on-y and y-to-d inflation in the Combined 2 Cities in Bangka Belitung this month occurred due to an increase in the index in almost all expenditure groups, namely; food, beverage and tobacco group at 5.11 percent; clothing and footwear group at 1.12 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 0.28 percent; health group by 10.12 percent; transportation group by 2.30 percent; information, communication and financial services group at 0.15 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 1.06 percent; education group by 2.45 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 1.19 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 2.11 percent. Meanwhile, the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group recorded deflation of 0.09 percent.
  • The contribution to inflation y-on-y of the Combined 2 Cities in Bangka Belitung was mainly contributed by rice commodities, filter clove cigarettes, red chilies, air transport and cayenne pepper. Meanwhile, the share of m-to-m deflation was mainly caused by kerisi fish, squid, trevally, round fish and household fuel.
