Abstract

A. TOURISM DEVELOPMENT

The number of guests staying at star-rated hotels in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in April 2020 was 2,968 people. This number decreased by 87.31 percent compared to the previous month's number of 23,386 people. The number of foreign guests fell 98.40 percent and the number of domestic guests dropped 87.10 percent.
Room Classification Rates (TPK) for star classification hotels in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in April 2020 reached an average of 16.63 percent, down 2.25 points compared to the March 2020 TPK which was recorded at 18.87 percent.
The highest ROR for star-rated hotels by district / city in April 2020 was in Pangkalpinang City by 36.65 percent, followed by P. Belitung (8.68 percent), Bangka Regency (3.38 percent), and Central Bangka Regency (2.44 percent ).
In April 2020, the average total length of stay of guests at a star classification hotel was 1.98 days, an increase of 0.17 days compared to the previous month. During April 2020, the average length of stay of foreign guests (11.14 days) was 10.37 days longer than Indonesian guests (1.96 days).

B. TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT

The number of inter-island sea transport passengers departing from the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in April 2020 was 1.56 thousand, down 85.67 percent compared to March 2020. When compared with the same period in the previous year (January-April 2019), the number departing passengers dropped by 27.79 percent.
The number of inter-island sea transport passengers arriving in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in April 2020 was recorded at 0.64 thousand people. The number decreased by 93.71 percent compared to the previous month. When compared to the same period last year (January-April 2019), the flow of incoming passengers has decreased by 37.38 percent.
The volume of goods loaded at the port in April 2020 was 491.88 thousand tons, down by 26.34 percent when compared to March 2020 which reached 667.79 thousand tons.
The volume of goods unloaded during April 2020 was 226.21 thousand tons, an increase of 13.25 percent compared to the previous month which reached 199.74 thousand tons.
The number of air transport passengers departing from the Bangka Belitung Islands in April 2020 was recorded at 6.45 thousand people, down by 89.84 percent compared with the previous month.
The number of passengers coming to the Bangka Belitung Islands using air transportation in April 2020 was 5.62 thousand people, a decrease of 92.72 percent compared with the previous month.
