Abstract

A. TOURISM DEVELOPMENT

The number of guests staying at star-rated hotels in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in March 2020 was 23,386 people. This number decreased by 30.48 percent compared to the number of guests in the previous month of 33,638 people. The number of foreign guests fell 50.54 percent and the number of domestic guests fell 29.94 percent.
Room Classification Rates (TPK) for star classification hotels in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in March 2020 reached an average of 18.87 percent, down 12 points compared to the February 2020 TPK which was recorded at 30.88 percent.
The highest ROR for star-rated hotels by district / city in March 2020 was in Central Bangka with 25.94 percent, followed by Belitung Island (22.07 percent), Pangkal Pinang City (15.17 percent), and Bangka Regency (10.22 percent) .
In March 2020, the average total length of stay of guests at star classification hotels was 1.81 days, an increase of 0.06 days compared to the previous month. During March 2020, the average length of stay of foreign guests (2.56 days) was 0.77 days longer than Indonesian guests (1.79 days).

B. TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT

The number of inter-island sea transport passengers departing from the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in March 2020 was 10.92 thousand people, down 8.05 percent compared to February 2020. When compared with the same period in the previous year (January-March 2019), the number departing passengers rose by 4.35 percent.
The number of inter-island sea transport passengers arriving in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in March 2020 was 10.17 thousand people. The number is down by 6.61 percent compared to the previous month. When compared to the same period last year (January-March 2019), the flow of incoming passengers has decreased by 11.79 percent.
The volume of goods loaded at the port in March 2020 was 667.79 thousand tons, an increase of 11.77 percent when compared to February 2020 which reached 597.38 thousand tons.
The volume of goods unloaded during March 2020 was 199.74 thousand tons, a decrease of 5.16 percent compared to the previous month which reached 210.61 thousand tons.
The number of air transport passengers departing from the Bangka Belitung Islands in March 2020 was 63.55 thousand, a decrease of 28.51 percent compared to the previous month.
The number of passengers coming to the Bangka Belitung Islands using air transportation in March 2020 was 77.72 thousand people, a decrease of 12.06 percent compared to the previous month.
