Abstract

  • In January 2019 the city of Tanjungpandan experienced inflation at 1.23 percent with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) amounting to 145.12
  • Inflation occurs because of the price increase indicated by increasing the three expenditure group indices, namely the group food ingredients at 4.51 percent; housing group,water, electricity, gas and fuel by 0.09 percent; and health group by 0.21 percent. Transport group, communication, and financial services experienced a deflation of 0.29 percent. Whereas the food, drinks, cigarettes, and tobacco, clothing groups, and education groups recreation and sports are relatively stable.
  • The inflation rate for the January 2019 calendar year was 1.23 percent and year to year inflation rate (January 2019 against January 2018) of 3.53 percent.
  • The core component in January 2019 experienced inflation of 0.19 percent; volatile components experiencing inflation of 5.25 percent; and regulated components of the government experience deflation of 0.30 percent. 
  • Combined Two Cities in the Province of Bangka Belitung Islands, namely the cities of Pangkalpinang and Tanjungpandan in January 2019 experienced inflation of 1.04 percent with the CPI 143.74.
