Abstract

The total number of labor force in August 2017 reached 699,017 people, decreased by 29,472 people compared to the February 2010 workforce of 728,489 people and compared to the period of August 2016 was 6,156 people ie 705,173 people.
The number of people working in August 2017 compared to February 2017 fell by as many as 23,370 people or down 14,212 people compared to August 2016. In August 2017 the number of working people was 672,618 people, and in February 2017 it was 695,988 people.
The Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) in Agutsus 2017 amounted to 3.78 percent, down 0.68 percentage points compared to TPT in February 2017 of 4.46 percent. But compared to the TPT in August 2016 rose by 1.18 percent points.
Labor Force Participation Rate (TPAK) in August 2017 amounted to 66.72 percent, down by 3.63 percent points compared to February 2017 of 70.35 percent. When compared with August 2016 it decreased by 2.21 percent points.
In August 2017, the highest open unemployment rate (TPT) in the SMU / SMK education group was 6.38 percent. While in the higher education Diploma 5.72 percent, and at the level of junior high school education / equivalent to only 2.93 percent.
