Abstract

In August 2016 Pangkalpinang City experienced inflation of 0.93 percent with index
Consumer prices (CPI) amounted to 129.73 after earlier experiencing inflation in July 2016
higher by 1.16 percent with CPI of 128.54.
 Inflation occurs because of the increase in the price indicated by the index in six naikknya
ie expenditure groups foodstuffs 1,94 percent; food groups
, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco by 0.48 per cent; housing, water, electricity, gas,
and fuel by 0.42 percent; clothing group by 0.03 percent; group
education, recreation and sports at 2.78 percent; as well as transport, communication,
and financial services by 0.22 percent. While health groups deflation of 0.02
percent.
 The inflation rate in August 2016 was the calendar year inflation of 4.82 percent and the inflation rate
year-on-year (August 2016 to August 2015) of 6.03 percent.
 contribution of each component to inflation this month is a component
the price set by the government 0.18 percent; volatile components was 0.45 percent;
while the core component of 0.30 percent.
 The inflation rate Bangka Belitung province in August 2016 amounted to 0.38 percent
CPI 130.74.
 Based on monitoring prices during August 2016, the CPI 82 cities in Indonesia show
that 33 cities experienced inflation and 49 cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation was in the City
Manokwari 1.27 percent with CPI of 121.60 and the lowest in Kendari 0,01
percent with CPI of 121.66.
