Abstract

In February 2016 Pangkalpinang City experienced inflation of 0.39 percent with Consumer Prices Indices (CPI) amounted to 125.41 after earlier in January 2014 also experienced inflation which amounted to 0.93 percent with CPI of 124.92.
Inflation occurs because of the increase in the price indicated by the rise in the index in six ie expenditure groups foodstuff by 0.44 percent; food groups, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco by 0.79 per cent; clothing group of 0.38 percent; health group by 0,09 percent; education, recreation and sport at 0.04 percent; as well as transport, communication and financial services by 1.51 percent. While expenditure group that deflation is the housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel by 0.47 percent.
calendar year inflation rate in February 2016 was an inflation of 1.33 percent and the inflation rate year-on-year (February 2016 to February 2015) amounted to 5.99 percent.
The core component in February 2016 contributed 0.06 percent deflation similarly component whose price is set by the government deflation of 0.02 percent. While volatile components of inflation of 0.47 percent.
