Abstract

On April 2015 Pangkalpinang City experienced inflation of 0.87 percent in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) amounted to 118.79 after earlier deflation in March 2014, amounting to 0.46 percent with CPI of 117.77.

Inflation occurs because of the increase in the price indicated by the rise in the index in six groups spending the foodstuff by 1.53 percent; food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco by 0.14 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas, and fuel 0.13 percent; clothing group by 0.14 percent; education, recreation, and sports by 0.01 percent; as well as transport, communication and financial services 2.78 percent. Meanwhile, health groups is stable.

Calendar year inflation rate of April 2015 amounted to 0.45 percent and the inflation rate year-on-year (April 2015 to April 2014) amounted to 5.83 percent.
