Abstract

At the December 2015 Pangkalpinang City experienced inflation of 1.56 percent in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) amounted to 123.7 after the November 2014 experienced deflation of 1.02 percent with CPI of 121.87.

Inflation occurs because of the increase in the price indicated by the index naikknya in five groups namely foodstuffs expenditure of 4.57 percent; food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco by 0.40 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel by 0.77 percent; health group of 0.11 percent; as well as transport, communications, and financial services by 0,97persen. While the expenditure deflation was the clothing category at 0.07 percent and education, recreation and sport 0.08 percent.

The inflation rate in December 2015 calendar year is inflation of 4.66 percent and so did the rate of inflation year-on-year (December 2015 to December 2014) amounted to 4.66 percent.

The core component in December 2015 contributed an inflation of 0.40 percent as well as volatile components of 0.83 percent. While the component whose price is set by the government is also an inflation of 0.33 percent.
