Abstract

  • The increase in the HDI of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in 2022 will occur in all dimensions, both longevity and healthy living, knowledge, and a decent standard of living.
  • The HDI growth of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in 2022 has accelerated from the previous year. All dimensions that make up HDI have increased, especially longevity and healthy living and a decent standard of living.
  • In the dimensions of longevity and healthy life, babies born in 2022 have the hope of being able to live up to 70.98 years, 0.25 years or 3 months longer than those born in the previous year.
  • In the knowledge dimension, residents aged 7 years have an expectation of length of schooling (can undergo formal education) of 12.18 years, or almost equivalent to the length of time to complete education up to the level of Senior High School/Vocational High School. This figure increased by 0.01 years compared to 2021 which reached 12.17 years. Meanwhile, the average length of schooling for residents aged 25 years and over has increased by 0.03 years, from 8.08 years to 8.11 years in 2022.
  • The dimension of a decent standard of living as measured by the average real expenditure per capita (adjusted) increased by 539 thousand rupiah (4.20 percent) compared to the previous year.
