Abstract

Pangkalpinang City, in December 2020 inflation was 0.71 percent with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) 103.44. Of the 90 CPI cities, 87 cities experienced inflation and 3 cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation occurred in Gunung Sitoli at 1.87 percent with a CPI of 107.85 and the lowest occurred in Tanjung Selor at 0.05 percent with a CPI of 102.47. Meanwhile, the highest deflation occurred in Luwuk at 0.26 percent with the CPI of 107.51. The lowest deflation occurred in Ambon at 0.07 percent with the CPI of 105.52.
Inflation occurred due to price increases as indicated by rising indices in several expenditure groups, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 1.87 percent; clothing and footwear group by 0.06 percent; the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 0.02 percent; the equipment, equipment and household routine maintenance group by 0.16 percent; the transportation group of 0.92 percent. While the groups that experienced deflation were the information, communication and financial services group by 0.11 percent and the personal care and other services group by 0.35 percent. While the clothing and footwear group; health group; recreational, sports and cultural groups; education group; as well as the food and beverage / restaurant supply group that did not experience a change in index / stable.
During the calendar year January-December 2020 and annually (December 2020 against December 2019) there is inflation of 0.52 percent.
The energy component in December 2020 did not experience a change in index with the CPI still the same as November 2020, namely 101.10. The foodstuff component in December 2020 experienced inflation of 2.52 percent with a CPI of 104.34.
