Abstract

A. DEVELOPMENT OF EXPORT
  • The export value of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in August 2020 was worth US $ 121.6 million, up 23.97 percent compared to the export value in August 2019.
  • The export value of tin rose 8.11 percent, and non-tin rose 355.47 percent (y-on-y).
  • Compared to the previous month (m-to-m), the export value increased by 46.53 percent. Tin exports rose 40.30 percent and non-tin exports rose 87.87 percent.
  • During January-August 2020, Singapore absorbed 22.15 percent (US $ 143.4 million) of tin exports, while Malaysia absorbed 20.05 percent (US $ 27.2 million) of non-tin exports.
  • The export value of animal / vegetable fats and oils (HS 15) in January-August 2020 dominated by US $ 101.3 million or 74.64 percent of the total non-imported exports of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province.
B. IMPORT DEVELOPMENT
  • The import value of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in August 2020 was US $ 1.49 million, an increase of 769.45 percent compared to August 2019. Therefore, imports from January to August 2020 will be US $ 11.34 million.
  • As many as 85.72 percent of imports in January-August 2020 were non-oil and gas.
  • Non-oil and gas imports from January to August 2020 were dominated by machinery / mechanical aircraft (HS 84) amounting to 66.43 percent (US $ 6.46 million).
  • In January-August 2020, Malaysia became the main exporter to the Bangka Belitung Islands Province with a value of US $ 3.37 million (29.72 percent).
