Abstraction

• Human development in the Bangka Belitung Islands continues to experience progress marked by an increase in the Human Development Index (HDI) of the Bangka Belitung Islands. In 2019, the HDI of Bangka Belitung Islands reached 71.30. This figure increased by 0.63 points or grew 0.89 percent compared to the previous year which had a HDI value of 70.67.
• Babies born in 2019 have the hope to be able to live to the age of 70 years 6 months, longer than 3 months 25 days compared to the previous year.
• Children aged 7 years have the hope of being able to enjoy education for 11.94 years, or almost equivalent to graduating from High School.
• The average population aged 25 years and over has been educated for 7.98 years, or almost equivalent to the period of education in class VIII Middle School.
• The population of the Bangka Belitung Islands fulfills the necessities of life with an adjusted average per capita expenditure of Rp. 12,959,000 per year, an increase of Rp 293,000 compared to the previous year.
