Abstract

A. EXPORT DEVELOPMENT

The export value of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in May 2019 is worth US $ 154 million, down 40.03 percent compared to the export value in May 2018.
The value of tin exports fell 44.13 percent and non-oil fell 9.80 percent (y-on-y).
Compared to the previous month (m-to-m), the value of exports rose by 25.01 percent. Non-export exports rose 52.22 percent and tin exports rose 20.31 percent.
During January-May 2019, Singapore absorbed 49.13 percent (US $ 244.9 million) of tin exports, while Australia absorbed 30.75 percent (US $ 36.4 million) of non-export exports.
The export value of animal / vegetable fats & oils (HS 15) in January-May 2019 dominated by US $ 50.7 million or 42.81 percent of the total non-export exports of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province.

B. DEVELOPMENT OF IMPORTS

The import value of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in May 2019 amounted to US $ 0.3 million, down 99.55 percent compared to May 2018. Thus, imports from January to May 2019 became US $ 4.8 million.
A total of 79.35 percent of imports in January-May 2019 were non-oil and gas.
Non-oil and gas imports from January to May 2019 were dominated by machinery / mechanical aircraft (HS 84) of 77.97 percent (US $ 2.98 million).
In January-May 2019, Malaysia became the main exporter to the Bangka Belitung Islands Province with a value of US $ 2.29 million (47.55 percent).
