Abstract

The number of guests staying at star-rated hotels in the province of Bangka Belitung Islands in July 2017 was 31,885 people. This number increased by 21.66 percent compared to the previous month's total number of 26,208 people (Table 1). The increase in the number of guests occurred in both domestic and foreign guests with an increase of 21.64 percent (5,571 persons) and 22.65 percent (106 people) respectively.
Room occupancy rate (TPK) of star-rated hotels in Bangka Belitung Islands Province in July 2017 was 38.82 percent (Table 2), up 4.62 points compared to June 2017 at 34.20 percent.
TPK The highest star hotels by regency / municipality in July 2017 were in Belitung Regency (45.28 percent), followed by Central Bangka Regency (43.20 percent) and Pangkalpinang City (28.34 percent), while Bangka Regency TPK only 26.70 percent.
In July 2017, the average length of stay of total guests overall in star hotels for 1.75 days, decreased compared to the previous month. During July, the average length of stay of foreign guests (2.36 days) was 0.62 days longer than Indonesian guests (1.74 days).
