Abstract

A. DEVELOPMENT OF TOURISM

Number of guests staying at the five-star hotel in Bangka Belitung Province in February 2016 there were 19 136 people. This number is up 2.95 percent compared to the previous month the number of guests which amounted to 18 587 people (Table 1). The increase in the number of guests happen to foreign and domestic tourists. Foreign guests rose as much as 107 votes (47.98 percent). While domestic guests rose significantly as many as 442 people (2.41 percent).
The room occupancy rate (TPK) star hotels in Bangka Belitung Islands in February 2016 amounted to 33.04 percent (Table 2), a significant increase of 5.89 points compared to the value of TPK amounting to 27.16 percent in January 2016.
TPK highest five-star hotel by district / city in February 2016 is in Central Bangka regency (40.55 percent), followed Belitung (36.13 percent) and Bangka (27.22 percent). While TPK Pangkalpinang only 26.00 percent.
In February 2016, the average length of stay of the total at the five-star hotel for $ 1.74 a day, an increase when compared to the previous month. During February, the average length of stay (1.99 days) 0.26 days longer than Indonesian guests (1.73 days).

B. DEVELOPMENT OF TRANSPORTATION

Number of inter-island passenger sea transport departing from Bangka Belitung Islands in February 2016, there were 4.88 thousand, down sharply compared to 33.04 percent in January 2016 which reached 7.28 thousand people (Table 5). When compared with the same period in the previous year (Jan-Feb 2015), the number of passengers fell by 48.19 per cent.
The number of inter-island sea transport passengers coming in Bangka Belitung Province in February 2016, there were 5.63 thousand the number dropped sharply by 41.16 percent over the previous month. When compared to the same period last year (Jan-Feb 2015), the flow of incoming passengers also decreased by 32.38 percent.
The volume of goods loaded at the port in February 2016 amounted to 961.18 thousand tons, down sharply by 97.22 percent compared to January 2016 amounted to 34599.12 thousand tons.
The volume of goods unloaded during the month of February 2016 as much as 177.11 thousand tons, down sharply to 88.79 percent compared to the previous month to reach 1579.42 thousand tons.
Number of air passengers departing from Bangka Belitung Islands in February 2016, there were 88.38 thousand, down by 11.72 percent compared with the previous month to reach 100.11 thousand.
The number of passengers who come to Bangka Belitung using air transport in February 2016 amounted to 89.69 thousand people, Compared to the previous month, there was a significant decline of 14.99 percent.
