EMPLOYMENT Bangka Belitung Islands

The number of people working in August 2015 as many as 623 949 people are growing 19 726 people compared to August 2014 as many as 604 223 people.
Unemployment Rate (TPT) in August 2015 reached 6.29 percent, higher than TPT in August 2014 by 5.14 percent.
Labor Force Participation Rate (LFPR) in August 2014 amounted to 66.71 percent, up 1.26 percent from 65.45 percent in August 2014.
Until August 2015, the agricultural sector (agricultural) contribute to the employment of 36.63 percent, up 5.22 percent compared to the period of August 2014. The service sector (services) accounted for 40.41 percent, while the industrial sector (manufacturing) absorb workforce of 22.96 percent.
The number of people who work as laborers / employees as many as 259 587 people, or 41.60 percent, on their own as much as 128 247 people, or 20.55 percent, and seeks assisted by temporary workers / laborers are not paid as much as 79 791 people or 12.79 percent.
